Our group is looking forward to the Western CONTENTdm Users Groups conference! We are interested in learning how other institutions are digitizing their collections and implementing meta data.

I am Cataloging/Metadata Librarian at Carleton College, Northfield, MN. Yes, I am not from the West but from Midwest. The agenda and people in Western CDM user group meeting particularly attract me to Claremont, Calif. Carleton has a digital site: Carleton Image Collection but very soon there will be another updated website to replace this one. In our digital world, things happen drastically every moment!

I'm excited for another Western CONTENTdm UG meeting. I'm working on Washington Rural Heritage, an initiative at the Washington State Library. We are working to get the small and rural libraries to collaborate with cultural heritage organizations in the communities to create and submit the historic collections and upload them to each of their own customized collections on our CONTENTdm instance. It's proving to be a big job.

I'm the Digital Information Services Librarian at California State University, Sacramento. This is my first CONTENTdm UG meeting. I hope to learn more about management of compound records, batch processing, Unicode support, API, etc. Our CONTENTdm collections are at http://digital.lib.csus.edu/.
