wu2007:Call for Proposals
From CONTENTdm Users Wiki
Call for Proposals: CONTENTdm Western Users Meeting Reed College, Portland. July 23-24, 2007.
What have you learned about CONTENTdm that you’d like to share? Have some tips for uploading images or creating great metadata? Created an interface that would blow people’s minds? Share your success stories with your fellow CONTENTdm users!
The OCLC Western CONTENTdm Users Group welcomes your proposal for presentations at its first annual Users Meeting to be held this year at Reed College in Portland, July 23-24. This interactive meeting is being designed by and for CONTENTdm users to address the needs of the CONTENTdm user community with an emphasis on problem-solving and innovative approaches.
Presenters are STILL needed for the following topics:
• Metadata practices
• Web templates and interface customizations
• Non-newspaper text projects
• Workflow models and file formats
Meeting panel sessions will run about 90 minutes so panel participants should plan on contributing about 15-20 minutes each. (We expect about 3-4 panelists per session). Longer presentations or panel discussions may be accommodated.
Poster Sessions
Posters contribute a wealth of information to any conference. Please consider submitting a poster on the CONTENTdm topic of your choice. There will be opportunities to present your poster to the meeting group.
Submissions
As this conference is being coordinated by the CONTENTdm user community, we are unable to offer any financial stipend or discounts for presenters.
We look forward to hearing from you!
