Edwin Burgess is the Director of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Research Library, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The Combined Arms Research Library Digital Library is located at: [1] His education is from Macalester College, St. Paul, MN and the University of Minnesota (MLS)

John is Systems and Interlibrary Loan Librarian at Occidental College, Los Angeles. His bachelor's is from the University of California, Riverside and his MLS is from the University of Arizona.

Allegra Gonzalez is the Metadata Librarian for the 22 and counting collections of the Claremont Colleges Digital Library in Claremont, California. Prior to this position, she worked at the University of California Los Angeles on the Shared Journal Project in collaboration with the UCs and the California Digital Library.

Anne is a Senior Computer Specialist at the University of Washington Libraries in Seattle. She is the administrator of CONTENTdm and often serves as a project manager for grant projects and collection building. Her background is in user support, IT and databases. Amy Jackson is the Project Coordinator for the IMLS Digital Collections and Content project at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and Visiting Assistant Professor of Library Administration. Amy was previously the Metadata and Digital Initiatives Librarian at Indiana State University, and has also worked on digital projects at Harvard University. She holds an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Simmons College in Boston, and a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University.

Josh Kline will be moderating and presenting in the session about CONTENTdm Templates, Customizations and Enhancements and is pleased to answer questions in that area or about programming or CONTENTdm in general. Josh hails from Marin County, California, and currently works for the Claremont Colleges Digital Library at the Libraries of the Claremont Colleges where he has been using CONTENTdm since March 2006. Josh enjoys board and card games and hopes to find time at the conference to play some games. He also enjoys science fiction, hiking, cooking, and is primary person for two cats.

Cory Lampert is the Digitization Projects Librarian at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Cory is responsible for the management of the University Libraries' CONTENTdm collections. The UNLV Libraries are currently working on several projects including the the Nevada Test Site Oral History Project and an Art Image Teaching Collection. Most recently the Libraries launched the Showgirls collection featuring digitized costume design drawings and photographs on the history of entertainment in Las Vegas.

Eric Luhrs is the Digital Initiatives Librarian at Lafayette College. Based in Special Collections & College Archives, he provides reference and digitization services to students, faculty, and outside researchers. With a background in Linux administration, Eric is also responsible for technical development of campus-wide digital services, including CONTENTdm and the college’s forthcoming DSpace repository.

Amy is a Library Systems Coordinator for CARLI--the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois. CARLI currently provides integrated library systems and services, resource brokering services, and technical support to over 130 member institutions. Amy provides support and training for the consortium’s implementation of CONTENTdm, as well as other consortially-implemented systems. Before joining CARLI she was the digitization trainer and project coordinator for the Illinois Digitization Institute.

Bart Schmidt is the Digital Projects Librarian at the Cowles Library at Drake University. Bart creates and manages his library's digital collections. He is also involved in maintaining Drake's DSpace installation and provides reference and instruction services.

Julia Simic is the Visual Resources Librarian at the University of Oregon. As such, she is responsible for building the Art and Architecture Imagesdatabase, a fast-growing, CONTENTdm-based collection of approximatly 40,000 digital images for use by UO faculty, staff and students for research and teaching.

Vicki Toy Smith is Principal Cataloger at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has previously worked at ProQuest Information and Learning Company (editor & project lead for various cataloging projects), University of Michigan Department of Epidemiology (grants/research projects), and University of California, Berkeley (catalog/database maintenance). Some of Vicki’s specialties include: electronic resources cataloging and Dublin Core metadata. Vicki is President of OLAC (Online Audiovisual Catalogers).

Friday Valentine is Serials Cataloger/Digital Resources Librarian at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR and has been using ContentDM since 2001. Friday is a long-time member of the Society for Creative Anachronism and is a ceramics/multimedia artist.

Pat Vince is the Digital Initiatives Librarian at Claremont Colleges. As such, she is responsible for the implementation and management of the Claremont Colleges Digital Library (CCDL), managing the CCDL budget, and supervising its staff.
[edit] Mark Anderson
Mark Anderson is Digital Initiatives Librarian at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. He works with the Digital Library Services department on the management of the Iowa Digital Library, and will be speaking at the Non-newspaper text projects panel discussion on the topic of digitizing scrapbooks.
