i e-mailed the following people on April 24th and asked them to respond by April 31st.

lennon from reed - as of 2007-05-23 Lennon is confirmed to present on "personal collections via user annotations"

eric luhrse from lafayette - As of 2007-05-03 suggested two topics: ARTstore download enhancement to favorites page, and mysql database metadata creation work flow tool
as of 2007-05-23 Eric is confirmed to present "ARTstore download" for my section and the "mysql db for workflow" for the work flow section. There is a slim chance he will have to cancel due to family health.

terry reese - as of 2007-04-31 just jumped into the mix. I haven't contacted him yet.
as of 2007-05-03 I sent him an e-mail requesting topics.
as of 2007-05-28 Terry is confirmed to present focusing on his faceted search enhancement.

josh kline - as of 2007-05-29 I am confirmed to present. I will probably present on customized administrative interfaces or custom interfaces for new item types.

mark anderson from uiowa: - mark replied that he was pending funding from his university for the trip. Apparently he was also contacted by another moderator and gave the same reply with the additional note that if selected as a presenter he was more likely to get funding.
as of 2007-05-24 Mark has requested to present in Friday's wu2007:Text projects (non-newspaper) section instead of this section.

Jen Wolfe from uiowa - added 2007-05-03 as of 2007-05-03 I contacted Mark and Jen to let them know they are both welcome to present and to please send me their topic ideas.
as of 2007-05-24 Jen is not attending.

julie miller from eastern washington university - no reply
as of 2007-05-23 responsibility for Julie has been passed to John De La Fontaine
